Jan has been in the diaphragm seal business for close to 30 years. The experiences he gained at Senpro, Emerson and Badotherm make him a senior sales engineer with deep product and application knowledge. Jan explains what he loves about his job at Badotherm, “the solutions we sell are not – a piece of cake -, often we solve complex problems. Solving complex issues is great in itself, but if a customer acknowledges our work that make it even more rewarding.
Customers sense when we go that extra mile for them”.
Jan enjoys racking his brains over a complex customer enquiry and discussing this with colleagues. He “we’ve got a great tool developed in-house called Basecal, that tool provides me with a structured approach to determining the right solution, taking all process conditions into account. It’s really effective.”
We talk about the fact that Badotherm is a family-owned company and what that means to its customers and employees. “There are short communication lines in our company, we make decision quickly and we respond to customers swiftly. The way we’re organized is ideal for the petro-chemical industry that is all about urgency, responsiveness and speed”.
When we ask Jan what company values should remain top priority at Badotherm he firmly answers, “one of our key strengths is our flexibility to find the optimal solution for our customers.” He adds, “we take pride in the fact that we are specialists in the field of diaphragm seal technology. Customers reward us for the time and attention we put into them. If we offer the perfect solution, success follows naturally. Many end-users made us their default choice, we are the diaphragm seal standard across their factories”.
