Petra is a true mover and shaker. If a customer has an urgent request that seems impossible to deliver on time, Petra gets it done. “I love those dynamic days when we do everything in our powers to help and we manage to get an urgent delivery out on time! That vibe really suffuses me with vigor and energy”, Petra explains.
Petra started her working career at Badotherm 33 years ago. When we ask her what keeps her motivated after so many years, she answers with a gentle smile, “I feel strongly connected to the company as it has offered me, and still offers me, the opportunity to develop myself. I started as a sales admin, worked in the purchasing department, grew our international footprint as a business developer and am currently occupied with running our logistics operations. There is simply never a dull moment”
When we ask her what she like about her job she says, “I like to solve problems. The beauty of fixing problems, even if we caused those ourselves, offer opportunities to forge stronger relationships.”
She continues, “my job is super diverse, I have to communicate a lot with both our customers and colleagues internally. You won’t see me tucked back behind my computer all day, I’m that spider in the web that often runs to our engineering and logistics teams”.
At the end of the interview we try to unravel what it is that lays at the heart of her customer approach. In her typical transparent and direct manner she says, “I simply help to move things forward and deliver on what we’ve promised!”. It won’t get any more down-to-earth than that!
