Our Products

We manufacture and offer a range of products to measure pressure, temperature and level. From (differential) pressure gauges, temperature gauges and thermowells to complete Diaphragm Seal Systems with related flushing accessories.

All of our products are designed and engineered by Badotherm HQ in the Netherlands and are manufactured and assembled in Badotherm factories. This is far more complex than it seems. Manufacturing a perfect product starts with design. Not only does Badotherm design the end product, and all its components, the necessary tooling and machinery are designed in house too.

Diaphragm Seal Systems

Diaphragm Seals are used to protect the often sensitive and vulnerable pressure instruments against harsh process conditions. A Diaphragm Seal does not do anything by itself, it is merely a component that is required in a diaphragm seal system. A diaphragm seal system is a hydraulic system that consists of a pressure instrument, a diaphragm seal body with a thin diaphragm, a filling fluid and often a capillary line. And this hydraulic system accurately transmits the process pressure to the pressure sensing element.

This is based on Pascal’s principle which states that a pressure exerted on a fluid is transmitted undiminished through that fluid in every direction. The process pressure exerts a force on the outside face of the seal, the flexible diaphragm. As the diaphragm flexes under this force it pushes inwards and attempts to compress the transmission or fill fluid behind the diaphragm. The transmission fluid is designed to withstand compression so the force is channeled proportionally and directly in to the measuring instrument to produce a resultant reading on the connected instrument.

Pressure Gauges

The stainless steel pressure gauge is a product of high quality. The stainless steel pressure systems are all provided with seamless drawn tube which reduces the chance of tube rupture. All Pressure gauges have the connection welded into the case and is produced according to the international standard EN837 and the PED.

The pressure gauges can be supplied with material certificates according EN10204 3.1, with NACE MR01-75 (ISO-15156) compliance and/ or calibration certificates. Our pressure gauges are also suitable to be supplied in explosive atmospheres and can be supplied with ATEX 114 compliance certification.

The most safe stainless steel pressure gauge is the solid front type, with baffle wall and blow out protection (BDT20).

Temperature gauges & thermowells

The measuring method of a bimetal thermometer is based on the expansion of two different metals. Those two inseparable jointed metal strips each have a different thermal expansion coefficient. The bimetal system is built in the stem of the thermometer and functions as a temperature sensor.

The measuring method of an inert gas filled thermometer is the expansion of gas in a closed system. Changes in temperature of create a change of pressure in the measuring system, which is translated on the dial into a read out of the correct temperature. This type of thermometer is available as direct mounting and as capillary thermometer.

Thermowells are used in any application where the bulb of the thermometer may be exposed to pressure, corrosive fluids, or high velocity. The use of a thermowell also permits instrument interchangeability or recalibration without shutting down the process.

Instrument valves & manifolds

All Badotherm needle valves and manifolds are based on-rotatable conical tip, to ensure perfect alignment for a bubble tight shut-off. The needle valves and manifolds are standard stainless steel, but are also available in exotic materials, such as Alloy C276 and Alloy 400.

The needle valves and manifolds are often supplied in combination with flush accessories. The valves are either fitted or welded to the flush rings or flanges and can be supplied with the needed welding certification and NDE testing. They can also be fitted and assembled with our pressure gauges and pressure leak tested, so this no longer need to be done on site.

All Badotherm manifolds are manufactured within the European Union.
