Block and bleed valves

Block and bleed needle valves are commonly used where it is important to depressurize the pressure instrument after isolating it from the process. This allows a safe removal of the pressure instrument and replacing it with a new one. Secondly the vent port can be connected to drain tubing to remove the process gasses and fluids to a safe container in order not to vent it in the atmosphere. The vent port can also be used to connect reference instrumentation for periodic checks of the pressure instruments.

The BDTM923 Block and bleed model made from strip material. This model is usually seen directly mounted to a pressure instrument nd can be used for isolation, bleeding, calibration and testing of the pressure instrument. it is called a “flat model” where the valves are mounted inline with the block.

Block and bleed – Angled forward

The angled forward BDT921 valve has a vent valve under a 15° forward angle to create space between the wall or product behind the manifold. This way the valve can be rotated without any problems.
